Dumpster permits are typically only required when placing a dumpster on public property such as a street, easement, or sidewalk.
Please contact your local township office or public works department to determine exact permit requirements for your specific situation. Permit requirements can vary within the same town based on placement specifics!
Reach out to us any time via phone (888-885-2048) or email ([email protected]) with any dumpster permit question or concern.
Although driveway damage is unlikely, please be aware of the possibility of damage caused by the weight of the dumpster and the contents placed in the dumpster.
Watch the process of a dumpster delivery below, and find out our tips for keeping your driveway protected.
We recommend that you place 4′ x 8′ sheets or 2″ x 4″ plywood on your driveway where the dumpster will be placed. The wood will prevent the dumpster from scratching the driveway.
If your driveway hasn’t been paved recently, you may not have much to worry about. However, if your driveway has been freshly paved, it is also important to remember that asphalt may soften and be susceptible to indentation, especially when exposed to the sun. Try to find a shady spot for dumpster placement on an asphalt driveway. An alternative placement may be the lawn, but keep in mind the grass will likely be ruined and the dumpster can leave heavy yard indentations. Placing plywood under the dumpster may help prevent indentations, but again, the grass will likely be destroyed. As such, a lawn is not recommended for roll off dumpster placement.
It is also important to remember that once the dumpster is filled with materials, it can be quite heavy. If you are concerned that your driveway cannot support a large dumpster, you may want to consider the 10 yard dumpster. This dumpster can hold ten cubic yards of waste, or approximately 5 pickup truck loads’ worth. If this isn’t enough, we also offer 20 and 30 yard dumpsters.
Please understand we are not responsible for property damage resulting from delivery, removal, or use of the dumpster. Please take the proper precautions to protect your driveway!
