The stately boathouses of Philadelphia’s boathouse row are a historic landmark and a center of the rowing world. Even these facilities need to be tidied-up occasionally and recently we delivered a dumpster for a boathouse clean out. All that history means there is a lot of junk left in the houses and that is where are dumpsters proved their worth. The Schuylkill Navy is the oldest amateur governing body in sports in the USA and continues to promote rowing in Philadelphia. The Schuylkill River is also home to a number of rowing regattas including the Dad Vail Regatta which is the largest collegiate regatta in the country.
