Dumpster service is necessary for Jersey Shore cleanup efforts, especially because according to a recent Asbury Park Press article, Hurricane Sandy created over 10 million cubic yards of debris in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut alone. This is enough trash to fill the Giants Stadium more than four times.

Hurricane Sandy took the East Coast by storm this past October, causing a reported $63 billion in damages in the United State alone. A great deal of the total damages occurred to the New Jersey beaches, including the destruction of local boardwalks and homes. In fact, the state of New Jersey alone saw over 30 fatalities, reported by the Associated Press.

In an effort to help with restoration efforts, Roll-Off has delivered containers to Ocean Gate, Point Pleasant Beach, Manahawkin, Absecon, Sea Isle City, Tom’s River, Surf City, Red Bank, and Ventnor City. Tom’s River has already disposed of over 40 tons of trash.

These shore spots will be continuing cleanup efforts throughout the new year. With so many buildings damaged, it’s important for officials to focus on moving out debris as efficiently as possible.
